IIC Student & Emberging Conservator Conference 2017 - Head, Hands & Heart

Texto:	The title of the 2017 conference is inspired by the Swiss educational philosopher Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, whose credo of 'Learning with Head, Heart and Hand's' is also very applicable to the conservation profession. Head - Scientific Research / Conservation Science and its Application Moderator: Giovanna di Pietro Speaker: Stefan Brüggerhoff, Velson Horie, Hannah Flock How are scientific research and conservation science applied to the profession and how do they support conservation and restoration practice? Hands - Conservation / Restoration in Practice Moderator: Sarah Staniforth Speaker: Rupert Featherstone, Christoph Waller, Anja Romanowski The development of practical and theoretical skills during a career and opportunities and perspectives on specialization in conservation and in related fields. Heart - Passion and Communication in Conservation Moderator: Mona Konietzny Speaker: Barbara Borghese, Helen Hughes, Renate Poggendorf How does one communicate with an employer, how does one work in a team, what are the responsibilities? Self-confidence for an emerging conservator - and the question of appropriate salary
